Printing - surfaces.- In a type-roller for printing monograms or the like on hat-bands &c., a number of discs 18, each formed with an alphabet of types 19, are mounted on a sleeve 13 between a flange 16 and a nut 22; the discs are turned to form the required monogram and are locked by means of pins 20, 17 or the like provided on the discs and flange and each adapted to enter one of a circumferential series of holes 21 in the adjacent disc. The sleeve is mounted on a spindle 10 having a flange 12 and preferably of square section. The spindle can be mounted in a machine or grasped by the hands.
