When selling your ability to deliver the image quality expected by the corrugated box purchaser, the proof is in the printing. But how do you measure and understand the capability of your printing process so that you can accurately predict and continually reproduce the same outcome? what is the relationship between all of the printing elements and how do these elements interact to produce the final print? Press characterization is a process that can answer these questions. We will explore the process for gaining an understanding of you printing capability: Why characterize the press? ... What methods are used? ... What information is generated and how do you use this information with printing production? chart print results to determien how consistently you are printing and gain an understanding of your process tolerances. It is the objective of this workshop to provide an understnaidng of hte characterization process which will enable you to consistently deliver predictable print results.
