Car-replacers. - In order to ensure that the vehicle wheels, on leaving the ramp described-in the parent Specification, should pass either on to the stock rail or switch rail and not fall between the two, the upper surface of the ramp is provided with wheel-guiding means in. the form of two V-shaped projections a, b, which provide between them a groove tapering towards the front for receiving the wheel flange, while the tread c.f the wheel rides over the surface of one of the projections. Lateral displacement of the ramp while in use is prevented by a downwardly projecting flange d adapted to bear against the inner surface of the stock rail e.
