Sound-box casings; tool-arm mountings; soundboxes, arranging and supporting.-In a gramophone or like sound-box, in which the stylusbar 7 passes through a hole in the front part 6 of the casing, which thus projects sufficiently far in front of the diaphragm to protect the stylusbar and diaphragm from damage, the bar is formed as a cross-shaped single piece, the lateral members 8 of which constitute trunnions. These are surrounded by rubber sleeves 10 and located in a groove 11 in the casing, within which the sleeves are clamped by two small steel plates secured by screws. A horn is attachable at 5 to the sound-box. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states also that the sound-box is adapted to be carried by a rod, the end of which passes either through a hole 13 in the casing or through a hole 15 in a boss 14, according to whether the sound-box is to be used for needle or sapphire reproduction. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
