Regulating; pumping-machines. - A turbo blower, compressor, or pump a, having a nozzle d arranged in the inlet c and connected by a byepass b with a high pressure stage of the machine, is provided with a valve in the bye-pass b controlled by the fluid quantity passing through the machine so as to eliminate surging. Several passages from the delivery side may each lead to an inlet nozzle acting as an injector. A Venturi tube e connects with a cylinder g and piston h carried by a lever o coupled to a piston-valve p and piston s, the lever o actuating one or more valves v. The valve p controls the admission of fluid under pressure, such as oil, from pipe q to cylinder r. The Venturi tube and piston h may be replaced by a reflux valve.
