Cooking and food warming stoves.-An army or other travelling kitchen comprises relatively small lateral kettles 13, 14 and a central main kettle 16 above a furnace 8 which is fitted with flues 11 leading to sinuous passages 12 so that the flue gases travel in a zig-zag and upward path into a smoke box connected with a jointed stack. A handle 77, preferably in the form of a wheel, controls the pivotally mounted door 5 of an ash-pit 4. A secondary flue conveys part of the flue gases around a smaller kettle 17 the heating of which is regulated by a sliding door 18 adapted to control the flow of atmospheric air around the kettle. Means tor _ storing fuel are located opposite the kettle 17. Each kettle is provided with a main cover 19 held in position by butterfly nuts 20 and provided with a central hollow 21 fitted with a deep secondary cover 22. The cook's seat is resiliently supported by a spring 26 and telescopic cylinders 24, 25.
