[A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, April 4, 1927.] Switches, quick-action, have a reciprocating member s acted on by a spring f1 which keeps a pin n' in contact with a plate q1, as the member moves to the right, until the pin passes off the plate and drops against a further spring f', which forces it upwards during the backward stroke when it has again cleared the plate. In this way a quick make-and-break between contacts c and d is obtained at every reciprocation. In a modification the member carries a lug engaging a pivoted spring pressed pawl member but the principle of actuation remains the same.
