Cigar and cigarette holders; ashtrays.-A cigar or cigarette holder a is adapted to be held in the hand for smoking purposes or to be supported in a vertical position by a socket or projection in an ash-tray f or to stand in a vertical position upon a horizontal surface. As shown in Fig. 3, the holder is provided with a spring clip d for engaging a cigar or cigarette, and is weighted at the base by means of a metal disc c. In modifications, the base of the holder is internally coned to engage a coned projection on the tray, or is rounded to engage a correspondingly curved depression in the tray, the rounded base being weighted so that the holder will assume a vertical position if placed on its side.
