Tabs.-Index tabs 2 on books, index cards, folders, &c., or separate tabs for attachment thereto, are reinforced by a narrow strip 3 of resilient material, for example spring steel, which is secured at the back of the tab by a superposed strip 4 of adhesive tape, gummed paper, or the like. Separate tabs are attached to an index card or page of a book by adhesive upon their face and are backed by an adhesive strip of equal length which covers and encloses the resilient reinforcing strip.
