Improvements in and relating to footballs, netballs and other similar balls, to inflatable bladders for such balls and to inflating means for such bladders
289,956. Dudson, T. Feb. 4, 1927. Balls.-The tube 16 of a bladder 15 has a small bore hole or slit 17, or the hole may be in a plug 18 inserted into the tube 16. A celluloid nozzle 10 carrying a one-way valve attachment 12 is inserted into the hole 17 and the case 19 is laced up. After inflating the bladder the nozzle 10 is withdrawn, the tube 16 then sealing itself by reason of the pressure between the bladder and case. The tube 16 may be so formed that it tends to lie on the periphery of the bladder. At the end of the casing 12 is a threaded portion 14 to receive the ordinary pump connection.
