An improved bracket serving for the suspension of the pendulum and for the mounting of the movement of clocks in their cases

Pendulums.-Improved means for supporting the pendulum and for mounting the movement include a sliding member which, when raised, immobilizes the pendulum and lifts it off its support and also releases the movement for dismantling; and which, when lowered, frees the pendulum and locks the movement in its seating. A baseplate 1 has forwardly projecting walls 2 which are joined by a bridge 3 and carry screws 16 coacting with slots 15 in the sliding member 11. The pendulum 8 has a head 9 to coact with extensions 14 of the member 11 and is attached to the usual spring 6 having a cross pin 5 seated in slots 4 in the walls 2. A spindle 12 threaded into the bridge 3 has collars 12 for raising and lowering the member 11. The latter also has extensions 20 lying over a transverse member 19 which supports the movement in the parts 18 of the walls 2. When the slide 11 is raised by the spindle 13 the extensions 20 release the member 19 and the extensions 14 lift the head 9 into recesses 10 in the walls 2, at the same time raising the cross pin 5 out of its bearings 4.
