Multiple-filament lamps.- Comprises two modifications of the lamp described in the parent Specification, wherein the filament selecting switch consists of two relatively movable members of which one has two sets of contacts corresponding to the filaments, one set being applied to light the filaments separately and the other simultaneously. In the first modification, the bulb contacts 2, Fig. 1, corresponding to one end of each of the filaments are connected through contact plungers 5 to contacts 6 arranged spirally on a cylinder 4 upon which an insulating cylinder 7 is rotatable by means of a ring 12. A metal sleeve 11 around the cylinder 7 is in contact with two series of spring contacts 10 passing through the cylinder 7, one series being arranged longitudinally so as to be engageable with the contacts 6 successively, and the other series spirally to engage them simultaneously. In the second modification, a rotatable polygonal cam 19, Fig. 10, has one edge adapted to actuate all the selecting-contacts 21 simultaneously, and its other edges to actuate them singly. The cam is turned from a distance by means of a ratchet wheel 28 operated by a wire 29 or pneumatically or otherwise, and is held by a detent disc 30.
