Saddle girths.-In order to prevent chafing, a saddle girth is provided at either side of the animal with tubular portions d, which are formed by splitting the flat strip between eyelets e, turning the edges outwardly and stitching them together as shown. If a surcingle is used, it may be shaped to clear the tubular portions.
