Blades.-Blade rings for radial flow elasticfluid turbines are produced by inserting the ends of the blades into separate rings and securing the whole to the blade ring without welding. In the form shown in Figs. 2 and 10, the ends of the blade 10 are reduced and inserted into holes in stamped fastening rings 11, 12. These are inserted into recesses machined in the blade rings 13, 15 and the margins 22 rolled or pressed into secure engagement with the dovetail-shaped rings 11,12. In Fig. 11, the rings 11 are recessed and the blade rings 13 have the dovetailed projections. In the form shown in Fig. 12, the rings 11 merely fit on the shouldered part of the blade ends while the extreme dovetailed ends 24 are secured in the blade rings 13 by rolling or pressing as before.
