Centrifugal governors.-In apparatus for preventing overspeed and over-winding of winding- engines &c. of the kind in which a profile member a is adjusted by a governor e relatively to a member c travelling proportionately to the cage, each arm d of the governor is curved and rolls on a path of such shape that the leverage is very great at slow speeds and conversely.
