摘要
335,884. Hamlett, E. P., May 30, 1929. Hatch fastenings.-Hatch cleats comprise a wedge 1 preferably wooden secured by a screw 1a to a metal shoe 2 which has a hinged extension 2a. The stationary cleat 6 secured to the deck has a slot 5 with which engages a headed pin 4 carried by the extension 2a. In operation the wedge 1 is pressed home to clamp the tarpaulin between the batten bar 8 and the coaming 7 and may be moved back to an extent to allow the main hinged part to be swung back about its hinge to free the batten bar, the extension 2a remaining attached to the fixed cleat 6.
