[Class 107.] The elevator 13, storage bins 14, and weighing and mixing units 15, 16 of asphalt plants or tar macadam mixing plants are mounted on a vertically slidable platform 1 which is provided with brackets 10 adapted to slide on stanchions 2. The platform 1 is adapted to be moved vertically by wire ropes 6 connected between the tops of the stanchions 2 and drums 3 on a shaft 4 on the platform 1, such shaft 4 being operable by means of a ratchet lever 9 or chain actuating worm and worm-wheel mechanism 8. The stanchions 2 are mounted on wheels 17. Sockets 11 are provided on the apparatus for receiving a jib 12 for dismantling the storage bins 14 and screen. The platform 1 may be operated by rack and pinion gear if desired.
