[Class 97 (iii).] An instrument for facilitating the drawing of equidistant hatching lines comprises a pair of coacting members adapted respectively to be secured to a pair of set-squares or the like so that when the set-squares are caused to slide one against the other one member fits within and has a limited movement within the other member thus determining the amount of relative sliding between the setsquares. In the form shown the V-shaped member T is secured to a rule R by pushpins whilst a support g is similarly secured to the set-square E. A slide c having a point p adapted to enter the angular recess in the member T is mounted in a groove in the member g and may be clamped in any desired. position by the screw v. Graduations on the slide c or on the member T indicate the amount of relative movement possible between the rule R and set-square E. The slide c may be secured directly to the set-square by pushpins.
