[Class 117.] Apparatus for screening road-metal, gravel, sand, coal, and grain, consists of a trough C fitted with a series of screens F1, F2, F3.. arranged in order of decreasing mesh, and provided with tailings discharge openings H at the end of and on a level with the screens, the trough being supported by suspension springs B which are maintained in tension by springs E and tensioning rods E1. The trough is vibrated by two oppositely rotating out-of-balance flywheels L, and is guided by a pivoted arm N. Buffers S are provided on the frame to arrest the movement of the trough.
