[Class 118 (i).] A route information strip displaying data at a window 6 is driven from the wheels of the vehicle through an adjustable friction drive comprising a disc 10 engaging the flat face of a disc 9 which unwinds the strip ; the disc 10 being spring-urged against an adjusting lever 12. Additional luminous or acoustic signals 22 in a casing 20 are selectively operated by circuits controlled by perforations in the moving strip, pairs of rollers 51, 21 forming contacts on opposite sides of the strip. To disengage the discs 10,19 a cam 26 is turned to engage the casing 1 and move the spindle of the disc 10 away from the disc 9. A fixed mark on the window 6 facilitates correct adjustment of the strip.
