[Class 143.] In an automatic weight indicator and weight totalizer applied to a flexible conveyer of the type supported upon idlers or the like, means are provided for supporting the weighing idlers upon an articulated weigh-table divided into three sections or more and equipped with supporting fulcra knife-edges located in the line of contact between the conveyer and the fulcra weighing idlers, to serve both to fulcrum and articulate the weigh-table sections to ensure the precise definition of the weigh length and also the precise apportioning of the weight carried per weighing cycle. As shown, the weigh-table comprises three sections A, 6, B, of which the central section 6 is suspended by rods 7, 8 in usual manner from the weighing system, and the end sections A, B are supported by knife-edge bearings upon the ends of the centre section and upon the stationary structure. In a modification, the outer ends of the sections A, B are supported on bearings with pull-and-push knife-edges arranged in alignment so that the sections act as drag resisting links. The knife-edges are arranged in the line of contact of the conveyer band 1 and the adjacent supporting idler. To prevent sagging of the conveyer band additional supporting idlers are mounted on the various sections of the weigh-table. Specification 3351/09, [Class 143, Weighing-apparatus], is referred to.
