[Class 120 (i).] In the teasing or opening of flock, kapok, feathers, and like materials and the filling of cushions, quilts, &c. therewith the material is teased or opened in a machine having a propeller or fan, the blades h, Fig. 1, of which perform the teasing or opening while blowing the material into the cushions &c. The material is drawn into the casing a through the inlet b and is delivered at c into an outlet pipe f, Fig. 4, the blades h and casing a having co-operating projections i, f, Fig. 3, to effect a thorough opening. The feed pipe d is divergent while the delivery pipe f converges to its outlet. The shaft g is driven through fast and loose pulleys k, m, the belt lever n automatically applying a brake p to the pulley k when the belt is moved on to the loose pulley.
