[Class 51 (i)] A rotary gasproducer grate is secured by bolts 15 to the upper end of an eccentrically mounted cylindrical support 4 which is formed of arcuate mild steel sections 9 each covered with armouring 12, the sections of the latter being thicker at the centre than at the edges so as to co-operate with the apron 3 to agitate and crush the clinker. The sections 9 have inturned edges 10 by which they are secured to vertical ribs 11, the latter having dovetailed heads to retain the armouring 12 in position. The support 4 is mounted on a base ring 14 of channel section and has secured at its upper end a keep ring 13 which carries the bolts 15.
