[Class 138 (ii)] The lower edge of the corrugated central rubbing matrix 1 of a washing-board is received in a groove in the upper edge of a cross-member 2 the ends of which are formed with integral pins 4 penetrating apertures 5 in the side members 6 and secured therein by nails 8. The cross-member is also provided with shoulders 7 which engage the inner faces of the side members.
