[Class 98 (ii)] A bipack comprises one film having two superimposed light-sensitive layers of different coloursensitivity containing colour - forming components which produce different colours in the two layers and another film having either one light-sensitive layer or having two superimposed layers, the colour-sensitivity of which is different from that of the first film. The same colour-forming components may be used for both films. One film may carry a blue-sensitive silver bromide layer containing thioindoxylcarboxylic acid and a green-sensitive silver bromide layer sensitized with naphthothiopseudocyanine and containing alphachloroacetoacetic ester and a filter dyestuff such as filter yellow or 1-paradimethylaminostyrylbenzoxazole ethyl iodide. A red destructible filter layer containing furfuraniline may be provided. The rear film carries a red-sensitive or panchromatic layer which is either colourless or contains Fast Red D or is provided with a filter layer containing a destructible red dyestuff. The rear film may, in a modification, have both a red-sensitive and a panchromatic layer which contain the same dyestuff-forming components as the front layers. In a further modification, the front film carries a blue-sensitive layer without dyestuff-forming components and the rear film carries green-sensitive and redsensitive layers. Benzoylacetic ester may replace the alphachloroacetoacetic ester, and cyanacetophenone, coumaranone, or paranitrobenzylcyanide the thioindoxylcarboxylic acid. The layers containing the dyestuff-forming components are developed with monoethylparaphenylenediaminehydrochloride. After fixing, the silver is dissolved with Farmer's reducer. The colour-component records are either copied on to three separate layers with the use of suitable colour filters, or the twolayer film is copied directly on to multi-layer material.
