[Class 38 (v)] An interlocking arrangement particularly for electric switches, comprises two rods 6., 7 connected to the switches and moving in parallel holes in a fixed block 5 and a locking member such as a ball 8 arranged within the block between the rods so that movement of one of the rods to close one switch displaces the ball in such a manner that it prevents the other rod and switch from being operated. For this purpose the rods have slots 9, 10 as shown, the ball being forced into one slot by movement of the other rod. The rods may be operated rectilinearly or may be rotated.
