[Class 132 (ii)] A hand - grip for a golf-club, hockey stick, or other games implement is formed of a strip of rubber or like material 2 having a continuous raised rib 3 extending along its length and flanked on each side by portions 4 of less thickness, the strip being wound on the implement handle 1, preferably under tension, with the edges of succeeding convolutions in abutting relationship. The strip 2 is backed by rubber-impregnated fabric 11, cut on the bias, the thin portions 4 being formed solely by this backing or by the addition of a thin rubber layer thereon. The strip 2 may alternatively be wholly of rubber ; the rib 3 may be flat or convex and the strip may be cemented to the handle 1. The lower end of the strip is secured by a brad or tack and a waxed thread or like binding 7.
