[Class 38 (i)] In a distribution board for feeder pillars, &c. comprising a number of units mounted side by side each having a number of groups of contacts, for example, one for each phase and one for the neutral circuit, each group of contacts comprises two pairs 7, 8, 9, 10 of which diagonally - arranged members 7, 10 are permanently connected together by a bar 13 whilst the other members 8, 9 are bolted by backward extensions 15 to transverse busbars 17, 16, so that by inserting fuse or simple links 18 between members of a pair a cable fitted to a socket 12 may be connected to either or both of the bus-bars. The connections for a switch wire comprise an insulating plate 20 fitted with pairs of contacts 21, 22 ; 23, 24 of which contacts 22, 23 are connected together and contacts 21, 24 are connected through extensions 27 to bus-bars 30, 29, respectively, connections from wire connector 26 to either or both bus-bars being made by fuse links 31.
