摘要
A covering for roads and the like comprises a concrete formed by adding to the cement or other binder particles produced by crushing to a grain size of 0 to 35 mm. clay or loam, which is substantially free from bituminous and pore-forming substances and from lime and magnesia and which has been uniformly hard burnt below its sintering temperature. In an example clay is burnt at about 1000 DEG C. Blast furnace cement or Roman cement may be used as the binder, alone or in conjunction with Portland cement. The concrete may contain also sand, gravel or natural stone.
