[Class 78 (i)] [Also in Group XVIII] An endless belt b passing round two endpulleys a is fitted with spindles f projecting from the belt and carrying at their outer ends j depending L-shaped trays k which receive articles for display. Loosely mounted on each spindle f is a wheel g which rides on a rail h lying near and parallel to the belt around its whole circuit. The two straight runs of the belt are further prevented from sagging by having the lower edge of the belt sliding on two straight rails located inward of the rail h. The belt may move in a vertical plane, in which case the spindles f extend parallel to the face of the belt and on each side thereof. The device is driven by a motor imparting a slow motion to one pulley a, the other pulley being mounted in bearings movable to tension the belt.
