[Class 97 (iii)] A drawing-appliance for use in designing sculptural and like objects to be viewed from above or below comprises a graduated circular dial 9, which can be adjusted along the length of a straight edge 1, but is angularly fixed, and a further straight edge 13 mounted so that its edge may be set diametrically across the dial in any desired angular position.. The height of the straight edge 1 above a rule 5 and the position of a cursor 8 carrying the dial 9 may be adjusted by racks and pinions. In a modification the rule 5 with its upstanding arms 3, 4, is dispensed with and the dial 9 is carried with its centre coinciding with the lower edge of the straight edge 1. In a further modification the arm 2 is also dispensed with. Specification 463,944 is referred to.
