[Class 113 (ii)] A collapsable boat has a bottom formed of a wooden sheet a stiffened with transverse members a1 and longitudinal strips a3. The sides are formed of canvas c, secured between a strip a2 on the bottom and a top plank b1 secured to the shaped gunwale b, formed of vertical laminae. The gunwale is supported by struts e hinged to the members a1. The collapsable stem consists of a strut h having a lever h1 pivoted to it and supported by the block a6 and a rope i secured to the bottom and to the lever h1. The gunwales are connected at the forward end by a plate b4 which allows slight relative movement. The stern frame is divided horizontally into two parts f, f1 hinged to each other and to a member g connecting the gunwales.
