[Class 120 (i)] The completed balls or rolls are discharged from a sliver-balling machine into a receiver 2, Fig. 1, comprising longitudinal supporting bars x, xl, Fig. 2, each wound ball being displaced axially from the roll-receiving station by a plate 13 operated by cam-actuated lever devices, the plate 13 then being returned in readiness for the next completed ball. When completed the wound ball or roll 5 moves down a guiding plate 7 to the receiver 2 and is then moved forward by the plate 13 carried by a sliding plate 11 and actuated by a horizontal lever 8 pivoted at 9 on a bracket 10. The lever 8 is oscillated by a cam 16 suitably driven from the machine through a bell-crank lever 15 and a rod 14 connected to an arm 8b projecting laterally from the lever 8.
