[Class 60] [Also in Group VI] A machine for grinding tennis balls prior to covering them with felt, or tor cleaning tennis balls, comprises a pot 3, rotary abrasive table 6, and a removable liner 8, with an abrasive surface 7, the liner being raised to unmask the side opening 11 in the pot when the balls are to be discharged. The balls are fed into the machine through a central hopper 42 and are ground between the table 6 and the abrasive surface 41 on a transverse plate 40 on the liner 8, the required pressure being applied to the balls by the weight of the liner.
