摘要
562,660. Alloys. POTTS, H. E. (Haynes Stellite Co.). Jan. 9. 1943, No. 445. [Class 82 (i)] In a method of manufacturing nickelmolybdenum-iron alloys containing as usual impurity at least 0.001 per cent of copper, the copper content of such alloys is maintained below 0.15 per cent, in order to impart to the alloys improved hot working properties. The alloys may contain 10-40 per cent of molybdenum and 4-25 per cent of-iron, the balance being nickel and incidental impurities. Up to 10 per cent of tungsten may be included in the alloys, and minor but effective proportions of other materials such as manganese up to about 3 per cent, silicon up to about 1 per cent, chromium up to about 1 per cent, about 0.3 per cent of vanadium, and carbon up to 1 per cent may also be included. Up to half of the nickel may be replaced by cobalt. Traces of lead, not exceeding 0.003 per cent, may be present as an unavoidable impurity.
