[Class 44] A spring device for use in sock suspenders, garters, belts, bandages, &c., comprises a spring wire bent to form a slot a and thence extending divergently to form two resilient limbs c, d, the two limbs d being fixed to the ends f of the suspender &c. In another form, the upper ends of d are folded back on the lower parts, in another the lower limbs f, c, d cross each other and are connected at the crossing point, while the upper parts of d are folded back on the lower parts. In another form, the lower parts of d are bent inwardly and cross each other horizontally, and in another the upper limbs d shown in Fig. 1 are extended in lazytongs form. In another, the limbs dare crossed inwardly and knotted to form a closed loop with c. In a further modification, particularly for securing bandages, the limbs c, Fig. 9, merge into inwardly bent parts r which cross and are intertwisted to prevent separation, but allow relative sliding movement, the free ends being formed as hooks s for engagement in the bandage.
