[Class 57] [Also in Group XXVII] A governor is mounted on the inner side of a plate 13 detachably secured in, or over, an opening in the side of the crank case. It is driven by a gear wheel 17 engaged by a wheel on the half speed shaft or the crank shaft. A magneto may be mounted on the outer side of the plate 13 and driven from a sprocket wheel 44 by a chain passing through openings in the plate. The governor comprises a spring- loaded sleeve 24 and weighted member 22. A spindle 34 carries at one end, an arm engaged by a groove 30 in the sleeve 24, and at the other end a double armed lever, one arm of which is connected to the fuel regulator and the other to an adjustable spring.
