593,446. Correspondence control systems. BENDIX AVIATION CORPORATION. May 22, 1945, No. 12791. Convention date, Dec. 31, 1943.' [Class 40 (i)] In a correspondence control system, error signals from the motor of an. induction repeater at the controlled end are applied through an amplifier to a servomotor which drives the repeater motor and the controlled member into correspondence with the transmitter through a step-by-step mechanism. The Figure shows an arrangement in which movement of selsyn transmitter motor 15 causes a voltage to be induced in receiver rotor 30. This voltage is amplified by amplifier 33, and used to energize one winding of two-phase motor 18, which drives member 56 mounted on gear 43. Pin 55 carried on member 56 alternately imparts a step-by-step rotary movement to members 50 and 51 which are freely mounted, together with their associated gears 47 and 48, on gear 43, so that shafts 60 and 61 are rotated step-by-step to bring rotor 30 and the controlled member (not shown, but driven by stage 61) respectively into correspondence with the transmitter rotor. Member 58 carried on member 56 is configured to prevent any movement of shafts 60 and 61 when they are not being driven by pin 55.
