[Class 87 (ii)] A mixture of calcined gypsum, asbestos fibre and water is delivered from a mixer 1 on to a board 3 and screeded level with the top of the frame 4 by a bar 12. The board 3 is then moved into position under a fixed cover plate 17 and raised bv a hydraulic ram to compress the mixture and cause it to take an initial set, excess water passing out through drainage channels formed by wire mesh 22 on the under side of the cover plate The board 3 is then moved round again, the frame 4 is lowered by compressing the springs 13 and the panel is slid off on to the board 21 for final setting and drying. Three boards 3 are mounted on the pivoted support 5 and a catch 10 co-operating with notches 11 is provided to retain them in the desired positions. The height of the frames 4 can be adjusted by means of the nuts 14. Ceiling boards, floor blocks and boards for skirtings may be made.
