[Class 23] A flour dressing machine comprises a cylindrical strainer a rotating slowly about a horizontal axis and beaters d within the strainer and rotating at a higher speed, the strainer being divided in its length into sections and means provided to transfer the stock from one section to the next. The strip metal beaters may lie along or at an angle to the radius and have alternate fingers set to give a conveying action. The stock may be transferred from one section to the next by scoops i, adjustable for effective length, or by fan blades attached to the beater shaft c. A worm conveyer g, driven from the beater shaft, delivers material which dresses through the strainer.
