[Classes 52 (iii) and 52 (v)] A bust 13 is supported by telescopic tubes 9, 8 from a base 5 and is adjustably mounted and balanced by a counterweight 20 housed in the tube 8. A traction cord 24 connected to a winding drum 26 enables the bust to be raised after the operating handle 29 has been depressed to free a friction clutch 34. The bust platter 12 is rotafable on its supporting collar 11 which, with the'tube 9, is suspended by cords 21 passing over pulleys 22 at the top of the tube 8. Rack and pinion, lazy-tongs, or screw mechanism, hand or power operated, may be used to raise the counterweighted bust or according to the Provisional Specification fluid-actuated means may be provided.
