[Class 28(ii)] A kitchen grater comprises a perforated drum 1, Fig. 11, having at each end a flange 6 and at one end a rigidly fixed crank 3, a reinforcing insert member 2 being associated with each flange 6. The insert member 2 comprises a bushing 10 or 17 which also has an outer part 9a which is bent over the flange 6. At the crank, i.e., the handle end of the grater, the collar is formed integrally with the crank 3. The drum 1, collar 2, and crank 3 are all stamped out of metal sheet and suitably formed. In a modification, Fig. 19, the insert member 31 or 41 has a flange 32 or 45 respectively about which is bent a part 27 or 27a of the flange 6 or 6a of the drum 1.
