[Class 18] A holder for a roll of paper for use in wiping the mouthpieces of telephones, comprises a casing 10 in which is positioned a wick 16, depending into a reservoir 11 of disinfectant, which contacts the paper as it is withdrawn from the holder through a mouthpiece 26 in the casing. One edge of the mouthpiece 26 serves as a cutter for severing the paper after a sufficient length has been withdrawn. The roll is rotatably mounted in the casing and its insertion is facilitated by a removable portion 20 which is normally retained in position by spring clips. A guide roller 24 is positioned between the roll and the wick 16 and is supported in rearwardly extending slots in the casing so that a pull exerted on the paper urges the roller 24 downwardly to guide the paper into contact with the wick 16. The wick 16 is held in position by a spring clip 17 secured to a web portion 14 covering the reservoir 11, the clip being formed to distort the wick into the path of the paper. Alternatively a roller may be provided for coating the paper with disinfectant, it being partly immersed in the disinfectant and projecting up sufficiently to contact the paper.
