[Class 120(ii)] [Also in Group XXVIII] A reel &c. of the kind in which the coilsupporting members 14 are adjustable as to their radial distances from the axis of rotation is furnished with a central axial adjusting spindle 2 engaging right- and lefthand nuts 20, 21 to which are pivotally attached two sets of links 18 pivotally connected to the coil supporting members 14 at spaced positions 17. A supporting plate 7, slotted at 8, is connected to a flanged support 3 which carries a cylindrical portion 4 adapted to act as a driving pulley or a brake drum, the whole reel rotating together on a supporting base by virtue of a flange 5 on the spindle being engaged by a friction plate 6. The screwed portions 11, 12 of the spindle 2 are rotated for adjustment purposes by a handwheel 13.
