Improvements in or relating to invalid bed tables

[Class 52 (ii)] A table of the kind which is removably supported on a bedstead and is adapted to enable a patient to read, write &c. whilst lying prone comprises telescopic tube members securable to the head rails of the bed, a table element pivotable relatively to the telescopic tube members and means for angularly displacing said tube members. As shown at each side of the bedstead a clamp 11a is secured to a bedpost and carries a brake drum 12 the internal rotatable portion of which is secured to telescopic arms 13a, 13b which are thus angularly adjustable, brake operating means 14, 14a being provided to permit this adjustment being made. The parts 13b of the telescopic arms are interconnected by a screwed rod 22 upon which a table 15 is angularly and laterally adjustable. Means such as a ledge 18 and fingers 19, 20 are provided for holding a book 17 and maintaining it in open position. Supporting lugs 21 are provided.
