An improved incubator for incubating eggs

In an incubator having an angularly displaceable, preferably cylindrical, egg container 1, the eggs are held in clips 28 so that they can be tilted in such a way as to keep the large ends above the small ends. Air is drawn into the container by a fan, passes over a heating unit 15, along the axis of the container and through screens to the egg trays 24, foul air escaping through an axial opening. The trays are perpendicular to the axis of the container and the clips are so attached to the trays that the long axes of the eggs lie in the direction of the axis of the cortainer and, as the container rotates, the large ends of the eggs are kept above the small erds. In a modification, the clip is attached to a spring which sags downwards under the weight of the egg and provision may also be made to give a rocking movement to the egg.
