[Also in Group X] Two inwardly opening window sashes 1, hinged to the bottom rail of a frame 2 carry, on arms 6, a bar 7 which co-operates with a pivotable fastening device 9, a depending U-shaped part 10 on the device 9 being provided with inner and outer edges for co-operation with the bar 7 to hold the sashes respectively in closed and open positions. In a modification, the fastening device is provided with two U-shaped parts, such as 9, and a single outer limb so that the sashes can be held in a closed, and in two open, positions.
