Doppler radar system, due to amplitude modulation caused by microphony, is avoided by frequency modulating the transmitter and selecting at the output of the mixer of the receiver a sideband containing frequencymodulation components but free from amplitude-modulated " leak " signal components; the receiver includes the system disclosed in Specification 802,008. It is stated that such amplitude-modulation components arise only near the mean carrier frequency.
