[Also in Group XIV] A dental cabinet, provided with a shelf-like projection and pivoted about a fixed vertical axis, is movable by power means from a first position, in which the shelf-like projection is located above a dental chair, to another position permitting free movement of a patient into and from the chair. The cabinet 1 is pivoted on a fired hollow spigot 11 and has a projecting shelf 3 which supports an instrument tray 4 and which, in one position of the cabinet, is located above the dental chair between a patient's head 39 and feet 40. The front of the cabinet is concave to afford operating space for the dentist. The cabinet is supported on castors 17, 18 and also on a wheel 13 the axis of which is radial to the spigot 11, and which is driven via reduction gearing 14 from an electric or air motor 15. Power ducts or cables for the motor and other appliances are led through the spigot 11. To occupy the other end position the cabinet moves through an angle " a." In a modification the cabinet is moved by an air pressure ram, the cylinder of which is pivoted about a fixed vertical axis, and the piston of which is pivoted to the cabinet.
