Veterinary compositions for combatting liver flukes comprise one or more of the compounds 1,3 - bis - (trichloromethyl) - benzene; 1,4 - bis - (trichloromethyl) - benzene and 1,3,5 - tris-(trichloromethyl)-benzene and one or more pharmaceutically acceptable wetting, thickening, dispersing and swelling agents. They may be in forms suitable for oral administration, e.g. powders for suspension in water, aqueous suspensions and admixtures with animal feedstuffs and may also comprise other known anthelmintics, e.g. phenothiazine, piperazine and cyanacetic acid hydrazide.
